FINAL EXAM - mandatory! Saturday, December 14 1:30 - 4:00 PM |
| top |
Grading will be based on the timely and successful completion of all projects/activities. Full PRESENCE in class (i.e., not just body attendance) is an absolutely essential element. Each student will be allowed one unexcused absence. The final grade will be lowered by one grade for each unexcused absence beyond two. Students will be expected to take an active role in class discussion. Late and incomplete assignments will be downgraded.
Projects must demonstrate a competent use of the tools covered in the course. However, grading will emphasize the creative and aesthetic qualities of the projects. An advisory grade based on work-to-date, participation, and attendance will be assigned at mid-semester. The final grade will be based on completion of the assigned projects/activities, active participation in class and on the mailing list, and attendance.
The Department of Fine Arts is committed to upholding the University Uniform Grading System. Grades will be assigned according to this system, which reads:
A superior/excellent
B good/better than average
C competent/average
D minimum passing
F failing
