Biography:
Born 1962 in Titov Veles, Macedonia. Graduated from the Institute for History of Art and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Skopje in 1985. Postgraduate studies on the problems of postmodernism and art of the eighties finished at the Cathedra for History of Art, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 1993. The recent field of research on a Ph.D. degree (to be defend in October 1996 at the Cathedra for History of Art, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade) concerns the problems of the object in the 20th century art (ready-made, art object, replica & virtual object). From 1986-1987, worked in the Gallery of the Youth Cultural center as editor-in-chief for the Art Program. Since 1988, works as lecture assistant at the Institute for History of Art and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy. Since 1994 teaches general course of History of Art at the Faculty of Drama Arts, Skopje. Since 1994 engaged as a Director of the Soros center for Contemporary Arts in Skopje, Macedonia. Member of Macedonian section of AICA since 1993. Curator of 14 solo exhibitions and 16 group ones (among them: 22nd Biennial of Sao Paolo, Sao Paolo 1994; Europe Rediscovered, Copenhagen 1994; Stanko Pavleski & Jovan Sumkovski, Brussels 1995; 12th Biennial of Small Sculpture, Murska Sobota (Slovenia) 1995; Manifesta 1, Rotterdam 1996; Breathing In - Breathing Out, Vrsac (Yugoslavia) 1996; Balkan Art '96, Novi Sad (Yugoslavia) 1996; 4th St.Petersburg Biennial, St. Petersburg 1996; The Bridges, Belfast 1996).
